The explicitly defined power to regulate interstate commerce, when applied to firearms, is in direct conflict with the "shall not be infringed" prohibition of the 2nd Amendment, i.e., the Constitution itself is self-contradictory in this instance.

Thus, it comes down to deciding whether a defined governmental regulatory power should be able to override an explicitly protected right of the people.

IMO, the primary reason this country is turning into an authoritarian but essentially lawless shithole of a police state is due to the rights and interests of the people almost always being subordinated to the interests of the state for far less than compelling reasons. This should never have been allowed in the first place.

I can think of literally zero reasons that are compelling enough to justify allowing the regulation of interstate commerce power of the gov't to override the explicit 2nd Amendment rights of the people.
