It's that weak anodyne tone that I hate. Up here in British Columbia we had our own health minister, Bonnie Henry, who talked the same way. Her catchphrase was, "Be kind." And of course people picked up on it and would repeat it, having no idea that it's meant as a threat, Do what I say or else.

The main thing I got out of this covid episode is that people are stupid and very dangerous. And that you were on your own. No one is coming to save you.
