In the latest data from the U.K., where the Delta variant started earlier and is now waning, it appears from initial look to not be beneficial with respect to death for those over 50 years age to have taken the vaccine (red circles attached image). This is slightly skewed by, but not explained by, the vaccination ratio (claimed to be 70/30). Note that there are many more cases for those over 50 as well (orange circle). One possible explanation for this, which fits data from Israel and elsewhere, is that the people that received the vaccine first are finding that effectiveness has worn off. It will be interesting to see what happens to the younger group over the coming months although unfortunately it may take another variant wave to make it clear. I suspect the data will not be good for the mandaters.
