The bats live 800 miles from Wuhan and weren't part of the goods sold there. The lab was down the street, not 20 miles away. Someone from the lab infected the market. I doubt the infection was done on purpose, or the Chinese would have stopped it there. If the worker was young, they probably showed few, if any symptoms. The Chinese crime was post de facto. They intentionally lied to the world, probably for internal and international political purposes.
