(slight tangent to what @Technia is saying, but relevant) My asshole of an (ex) PCP tried to get me to agree to take Ozempic (sp?) for my pre-diabetes, claiming a side effect was also weight loss. That was the final straw for me, and I fired him. Heard a news story on the radio this morning that there's a developing shortage of it now due to too many doctors prescribing it for weight loss, and true diabetics are having difficulty sourcing it.
