Given the recent tumultuous history of the Civil War, and how the 13th and 15th OBVIOUSLY applied to emancipated slaves (outlawing slavery and giving them the right to vote), the 14th should obviously be construed that way. Granted, it seems like the authors of our constitution should have written it like it was targeted for an evil, retarded 5 year old, since those people tend to grow up and "interpret" it in the manner contrary to its obvious meaning. 2022-07-14 11:40:00
