Rerun your numbers using 12-15% transmission and distribution losses. That number comes from Ameren, a midwest utility (primarily/exclusively coal fired) power generation. Pitched grid scale battery systems to them a handful of years ago. Inside tip: they could care less about reducing system losses. They don't assign a value to a watt of saved power...only what that watt represents in GHG reduction which the fedgov will now reimburse them for 2022-01-11 19:45:29
