Pez, same here too. I always harbored this horrible cognitive dissonance. Drove me nuts for over a decade. 2007 was the "ah ha" moment where I realized I was not in need of reprogramming (lol), but that eventually "math" matters. My gut instincts were in fact correct. At least in a macro sense... big topic sort of stuff. Since 2007 I have been reading every day. Learning. And interacting with other people who are able to embrace the truth, even if it challenges us, scares us, whatever. You are so right in what you said about feeling more like a doomer for being a realist. We no doubt living in a world of socially reinforced madness.
