that's what I might have had on the first weekend of October 2019. My girlfriend and I were about to go on a self-guided tour of historic buildings. I woke up with a blinding headache, thinking it was a migraine. Took some headache pills that did nothing to relieve the pain. Tried to have breakfast, and it all went south from there. I developed a fever, chills, body aches, intestinal distress, vomiting, the whole smash. Needless to say, we didn't go anywhere. My girlfriend graciously stayed with me until evening, then returned home. By the time I returned to work on Tuesday, I still didn't feel 100%. I never went to the doctor and I thought to myself that the flu shot I received a year earlier must have worn off early. Whatever it was, it just ran its course.
