If I break into your home, crossing the threshold uninvited whether you locked the door or not, you can shoot me in most states -- Florida among them.

Why?  Because by intentionally entering your land without invitation and knowing it's illegal, I have declared my intentions and you are within your rights to presume that I will cause you great bodily harm -- or worse.

Alright, so what if the home is a high-rise apartment?  Does the fact that the "owners" are the shareholders of a corporation change anything?  In other words, if the "owners" number many, perhaps thousands, do they not have the same right to prevent your entry?  Of course they do; if they hire someone to stand guard said person can still shoot the illegal invader who kicks down the door.

This nation has a border.  It has 310 million, roughly, citizens who own the land collectively.

Well?

I do believe that members of military and law enforcement have been hired by us (and are being paid) to do just that.

It comes down to how far are you willing to go to enforce your law. If the lawbreakers are "all in," so must be the law defenders, and that almost always comes down to deadly force.

If I decide that the speed limit on the main thoroughfare by my house needs to be 75, and the county decides it is 45, I'm going to drive 75. If the sheriff attempts to pull me over, I'll just keep on driving. At some point, the sheriff needs to decide how badly I need to be stopped. At some point, GIVEN MY VIEW THAT I AM ALL IN ON BREAKING THE LAW, the sheriff will shoot me dead. Yes, it won't happen until he gives me ample opportunity to pull over, pay a ticket, run a road block, evade police, etc. At some point, I will be killed for my views on how I am going to violate the law.

It would be one thing if I was doing 75 in a 45, and the sheriff opened the bidding by killing me on the spot. He won't. If he eventually kills me, it will be directly related to my insistence on breaking the law. IT WILL BE MY DECISION TO "GO THERE" and force him to kill me.

If not, the speed limit now becomes 75, if not 85. The law is done.

In our society, it is "Lex Regum," meaning the law is king.

Now, scale it up to repelling invasions, which is JOB #1 for the President...

In days of yore, if women wanted to come to a new land and take the resources to raise their kids, they first had to send their men into the land, with armaments, and forcibly take it from the men, WOMEN, and CHILDREN of those that lived there. After the land was forcibly seized, the women moved in and colonization began.

Hitler had this in mind during his time in office. The land to the East of Germany was to be taken by force, in a war of annihilation, and the space given to the Volk. Hitler used armored columns to make his play, and it almost worked.

Well, in modern times, things are different. Latins don't send tanks, APCs, and divisions of light infantry, as they know the Gringos would put them down in a most grotesque fashion. Nope, they send their armies with pregnant women, the elderly, infirm, criminals, and the hopelessly poor. They come to America and colonize. It becomes transformed into their language, religion, culture, and they demand the treasury of the US be used to pay for them.

Their close air support is the video camera and the broadcasting of it by traitors in our land. They know, for absolute certain, that we won't forcibly put down the women, elderly, and poor, because it would look bad. We would be the Nazis. We would be the black hats.

Modern warfare is the same as old warfare. You invade and displace the population, take their resources, and impose your culture. The only difference is that the new invaders, be they Latins coming over the US/Mex border, or the streams invading Europe from the Middle East and North Africa, are not coming with arms, but with cameras and sob stories.

At some point, whether it be this caravan, the next, or the twentieth, they will ratchet up the bidding to make it only possible to enforce by lethal means. That means we will look bad on CNN, unless those are made to be traitors first. We did it in the Adams, Lincoln, Wilson, and Roosevelt administrations.

Does treason get protection of the First Amendment? smiley. Only a stupid population would protect that.

It is going to suck, and the images are going to be bad. Warfare is NEVER, EVER clean, neat, and morally clear. WW2 certainly wasn't. The US committed loads of "war crimes" in every theater. We did shoot POWs during Overlord, as we didn't have the manpower or time to process them. Had cameras been imbedded with the invasion forces, who knows how that would have turned out.

Just because they invade with pregnant women rather than tanks doesn't change the circumstances. Nobody is being shot for wanting a better life. They are being shot because they don't respect our laws and borders. If you want to come to the US, come her in accordance with our laws, which are, by far, the most generous in the history of the species.

What's the point of having a military if it isn't actually to DEFEND the country? Let the military do its job and that means LETHAL FORCE must be applied. Here's a real threat to the soverignity of this nation and the miltary is told to play the equivalent of tiddly winks.

This is not simple police action - this is a WAR where the enemy is attempting to overrun positions en masse for invasion and they must be repelled. If women/children travelling with this mob want to be cannon fodder to provide cover for these miscreants that is their decison - not ours. They are aiding and abetting this crime against the USA.

I will NOT be swayed by the tears of criminals. These criminals daily harden my heart even more.

My only problem would be whether to grab the 12 gauge shotgun or the .44 mag pistol.... smiley

Come to think of it; if the invasion into my house was at like two in the morning and I was only half awake.... maybe the 12 gauge would be the best choice. The recoil from the .44 might knock me backwards at that time in the morning.

If I were DJT, I would have a sit-down with Nieto and present the problem. I'd 'splain how WE have a problem, and he has the opportunity to fix the glitch. If he passes, I'd inform him that I would happily do so, and among the options is pushing the border Southward about 100km, and making the entire area a US military reservation to be used as an artillery and bombing range.

We would move J-Town, TJ, and Matamoros back as well.

If people want to navigate through 62 miles of a bombing range, with no water or support, it would certainly slow them down.

I'm guessing that Nieto might just take that seriously. It would be a modern version of "54-40 or fight."

We are the big kids in this hemisphere. We need to act like it, or the Chinese and Russians will establish colonies.

Suppose you were kidnapped from the waterfront and made to work on a pirate ship. Then you were told you can elect A or B for captain, however you are never allowed to reject being shanghaied and return to your former freedom. Jumping off the pirate ship into the ocean is not a reasonable remedy for the pirates' harms. Same goes for countries. The American national government is not a peaceful business corporation voluntarily joined by citizens, it is a debt-slave-owning organization. Americans are never given a reasonable option to reject the ownership claims of the American government. Attempting to renounce your American citizenship and tax liability and living elsewhere is no more reasonable a remedy than jumping off the pirate ship. I expect some sort of crypto-protected financial transaction system will undermine the logistics of this authoritarian mess soon, when it makes tax collection cost more than it collects.

Tickerguy axs "Well?"

Let me check what Don Lemon has to say...... JUST KIDDING!!!!!

Of course there is no difference. Theft is theft and if you, I or our neighbors are not allowed to protect what we have worked for why should we bother to work?

Some have nicer houses than me, some have nicer cars and clothes and larger bank accounts than I. What amount do those someone need to have before I can say, they have too much I am going to take it?

Some people have worked damn hard to gain the things they have, others may have inherited it or just gotten lucky. With few exceptions and theft being one of them, at what point is it ok for me to take it from them?

Of course it is never ok. And when the rule of law fails us we can either choose to be milquetoasts and after the first person gets away with stealing your stuff they WILL tell their friends. "Hey milquetoast down the street had this sweet 55" tv, and car, he just sat their and watched me take it." "You want to go back with me, so we can force him to cook us dinner while we******his wife and kick his dog" OR we can do the right thing and try and defend what is rightfully ours.

As American's we have inherited a great nation and without working to defend it we WILL end up like our Native American brothern....or as history has shown in countless instances - Worse.

But none of you need to worry about me, cuz I am going to stick it to the man by huffing this can of Raid and investing in Crypto

Eleua - In your wonderful post above you say "they send their armies with pregnant women"

If allowed to make it to the beautiful tents that DJT is setting up, these women and children will be front and center. The TV cameras will show small, hungry children being cradled in their mothers arms as she cries openly for her poor, poor child. And Don Lemon will be their crying as he holds her weak, weary and trembling hand.

But they are nothing more than props, just like the homeless guy asking for gas money carries an empty gas can. You can not show proper need if you don't have the right props.

For good, bad or indifference our politicians have twisted our laws to take advantage of our generosity. They have not just allowed people to cross our borders, they have paid them to come in steal our jobs and resources and have children. That is our problem as we elected these people and we sat by allowing it.

Now they send the army you speak of an army full of props, props that look like mothers and fathers. If these people truly cared so much about the children they want us to take pity on, why did they travel over a thousand miles without proper resources. And don't believe for a minute that, that poor child she is clutching is the only one. So who is watching after the others she left behind? And how long will it be before her other children are bused into those beautiful tent cities?

The people already here are our problem, we allowed our laws and generosity to be taken advantage of. The ones being bused up to our borders are a true invasion force and there is a huge difference.

God I hope Don Lemon gets right on this.

Mexico exists for us much like Russia does for Europe. in the case of the latter it keeps an Asiatic influence from overrunning Europe while suffering through the tortured development of its own culture and the ethnic mixing within its borders. Russia develops some notable strengths due to this and accomplishes much over the decades not without much pain. Russia needs for the foreseeable future a dictatorial governance system.

Mexico is a lower intelligence entity at the core of its pre colonization ethnic groups and lacks the Asian high IQ that Russia mixes with Eastern European stock. Mexico can not become another Russia for this reason any time soon. It is destined to be a more peasant culture to a large degree with the same neurotic tendencies of a non-cohesive culture. However the USA needs Mexico as a buffer much like Europe needs and must tolerate the risks of being neighbors with Russia.

Without Mexico we would have been overrun a long time ago by South Americans even worse than what we are dealing with today. At the same time Mexico would not allow itself to be the garbage can for them at our doorstep.

Some arrangement needs to be made where we assist Mexico in securing its own borders and maintaining its internal peace. If we simply enforce our borders which we should and must without accepting the price that Mexico pays for this, we will have a failed state at our borders and much greater problems. Any improvement in Mexico only makes them a greater target for hordes from their southern borders.

An ideal solution would be to build our own kill-zone at our border with the help and consent of Mexico while helping them to do the same on their other borders. politically this would be a good sell and necessary for a stable situation.

The illegals that are here have been empowered by a corrupt system whereas they have a kid and automatically get benefits. I still can't get this into my head as to why would our government pay benefits to illegals simply because they had a kid that the left considers a citizen. If this person is a U.S. citizen, then they can sign up for benefits when they turn 18. The insanity that their illegal parents are given our tax dollars from day one makes no sense. I wonder if Trump has the ability to stop payments to any illegal for any reason...
The biggest scam is the EITC Credit. Even illegal parents can apply for this at $1500 or more per kid. When you hand out free stuff, you invite this kind of invasion. Kill the handouts and they have no reason to come.

Yes, excellent point.

It would make an interesting case study, if some militia or just outright fed up citizen positioned him or herself along the US side of the Rio Grande with a long range rifle and scope. From a purely hypothetical perspective, I believe legally they'd be in no jeopardy in our legal system sending ordinance into Mexican territory, provided that any targets hit are in Mexico and not on US soil.
Of course, they might face charges in Mexico depending on what outcomes transpired, but presumably they'd have to be extradited first and Trump as President could affect that as well, by ordering Sessions not to have any extradition hearing.

I am not a lawyer and not advocating this, btw. I think the proper way to stop this is to send US troops to the border with enough guns and equipment to apprehend and forcibly expel any illegal crossers back into Mexico, or better yet load them up into a C-130, land in some base in Central America and then bus them outside the gates of the base, and send them away at gunpoint!

BTW one very good reason to send the military to do this job is that even if the apprehended invaders are on US soil, Trump can declare them "enemy combatants" or something and keep them outside the reaches of the legal system. No doubt the minute one of these roaches reaches US soil, somebody will file for an injunction to prevent them from being deported. However, if they are in military custody the entire time, good luck enforcing that one.

I view blogs as a salon, where the point is to encounter interesting arguments you haven't heard before. The US government imposes gun control on cryptography, because it recognizes crypto has military utility. I claim that protecting trade behind crypto is a self-defense strategy which can prevent organized criminals from cost-effectively parasitizing it. It is a military strategy which imposes military costs on attacking forces. We could talk about estimating the numbers in that military analysis.

Bitcoin is an accounting system, able to move token counts from one account to another. The problem is assigning meaning to those token counts. Bitcoin and similar have split the communication function of money from the value storage function. Bitcoin doesn't do the value storage function well, as Bitcoin has no utility aside from the communication function of money. I think Bitcoin or a replacement needs a mint mark, so it can become a warehouse receipt for a commodity held by a specific warehouse. That warehouse could be an existing distributor of steel beams or copper wire; the electrical metal silver; or the electronics metal gold.
