I'm not underestimating the Dems. They are a ****ed up bunch, but they do know how to consistantly win elections with the poker equivalent of 2-7 offsuits. Lefties have a passion for winning. Conservatives have a passion for virtue. That's no contest. When Conservatives play to win, they do. The trouble is that they usually don't and Dems KNOW they will choose virtue over victory almost every time.

IF you scare people, you lose. Negative campaigning is all about demonizing (making scary) your opponent.

IF the Dem convinces J6P that the bailouts and stimulus worked, and you are campaigning against them, you lose.
