Mittens, STOP CALLING ME

I'm not going to vote for you.

I'm not going to give your campaign money.

I will verbally accost and challenge any and all of the idiots who invade my home by telephone, and I will lampoon and attack any of your printed campaign materials.

I will not vote for you because:

  • You signed and issued a signing statement in support of a state Assault Weapons ban as Governor.  You claim to support the Second Amendment on your web site but this is a bald lie, based on your own signing statement of July 1st, 2004.  For those who forgot, this is what you said: "Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts", Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony on July 1 with legislators, sportsmen's groups and gun safety advocates. "These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense.  They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people."   There is only one man running for President who has actually ever banned a gun, and that man is Mitt Romney.

  • You have refused to put forward an honest economic policy.  Your "web" position assumes "robust" 4% economic growth.  There is no evidence that will happen as the government has crowded out the private sector.   Your identified direct "budget cuts" are under $100 billion annually.  The deficit is more than $1 trillion!  This is clown-car garbage.

  • Block grants are simply a cost-shift that bankrupts states.  States are seeing 20% annual Medicaid cost increases!  You cannot fix the budget without putting a stop to medical cost escalation and cost-shifting -- period!  This isn't what I want or anyone else wants, it's math.   You're lying Mitt.

  • If fraud and waste are bad why are they continuing?  Remember that one man's fraud and waste is another man's paycheck!  Cutting it off means cutting off GDP even though it's bogus GDP -- it still counts.  Fraud and waste exist because people like you love the contributions that come to your political campaigns as a result of it.  Period.

Even if I accept your "savings" are factual (I don't; those from "block grants" are simply a spending shift, not a spending decrease) I still find 80+% of the deficit un-addressed in your fraudulent "plans."

You say on your web page: "We have a moral responsibility not to spend more than we take in."  You're a damned liar as your announced program spends vastly more than the government takes in.  That it would propose to spend a bit "less" than Obama doesn't change the fact that you can't be a little bit pregnant and you can't be a little bit moral.

You either are or you're not.

You're a jackass and a dangerous thug Mitt.  Your blatant disregard of fundamental liberty interests guarantees that I will never vote for you, and your outrageous and transparent lying on top of it within your own web page when it comes to economics, not even needing to look at your record and speeches, says that you simply cannot be trusted.

I'd rather vote for Beelzebub than Mitt Romney.

Looks like ole B might be getting two votes as he is on my list of acceptable candidates. BO and MR are not BTW...

Beelzebud, always vote for the lesser of three evils.

Karl, I'm not sure if I've ever seen you tear into Romney-care, but I think it could use some of your skills. Some studies have said it's caused 18,000 lost jobs here in the Bay State, and one widely touted review measured cost increases at 20% over a two or three year time span. Knowing what I know now from reading TF, I see that increase was simply inevitable, but I'm curious to know what a real economic impact it's had.

Seems to be the only piece I can easily Google that's anti-romneycare that has some substance and basis in reality (as opposed to vitriol), but it's ancient (2008) by internet standards!

Voting for Owebami or nit is also voting for Beelzebub.

I think Karl goes into the "leaning Romney" list. ;)

At this point, someone needs to figure out what ultimately becomes the tipping point that gets voters to choose a 3rd party - because it seems like there's a couple common reasons people keep voting D or R:

1. "I hate ________ and don't want to see him get elected, so I'm voting for the other guy," or
2. "3rd party? But, they're never going to win." [As if "voting for the winner" is some requirement of exercising that right.]

No one is sufficiently*****ed off about financial fraud, no one is sufficiently*****ed off about the economic state of the country, no one is sufficiently*****ed off about general government inaction or the constant bickering between the D's and R's, ... I almost think it has to be some colossal catastrophe where both parties are directly [and blatantly] shown to be responsible before people finally maybe think about asking for new leadership.

This is the problem we got:

If Obama is reelected he's a lame duck. That means he's got nothing to lose going forward. If you think you got socialism in the first four - you ain't seen ****. Plus, he's got another SCOTUS pick - likely even 2. Mitt looks like Little Lord Fauntleroy next to Obama. And the next Pres is going to be Obama or Mitt.

There's the problem.

NO ONE CARES because they're too stupid to care. Take 100 people, bring any of those topics up and maybe 1 or 2 people will give you an intelligent reponse; the rest will turn white with fear and say I dunno...

PS>The reason all these occured in the first place is because no one cared!

OK, Karl, let's see...you voted for Obozo last time, you're voting for Beelzebub this time. Got it. Since you keep voting for the greater of two evils, I've got a question for you.

How do you plan to top this choice in 2016?

Call it the lesser of two evils, or whatever you want, but you only have two choices. Four more years of the Kenyan idiot is not the lesser of two evils, I don't really care for Mitt either, but he has my vote.

Karl, I respect your effective support of Obama, but I think you're making a mistake. Not voting for either Obama or Mitt is supporting Obama in my view of the world.

There's only two choices if you limit yourself to that line of thinking.

Exactly. As Karl might say in a different context, voting for either Obama or Romney is like saying "yes, I would like to have sex against my will - but would you please wear a condom so I can feel better about it?" Either way, you're still getting raped.

I got a survey in the mail from Willard's campaign (I like to call him Willard because it conjures up images of rats) with a postage-paid reply envelope. I took a big red sharpie, wrote TAKE ME OFF YOUR MAILING LIST across the survey, stuffed it back in the envelope, stuck on my address label, and mailed it back.
