Karl your characterization of the debacles at JPM and the Euro banks is very informative and the interview educates any American that wants to understand. Problem is too many Americans have been dumb downed and don't have a clue what's going down..........thanks for your input

Excellent interview Karl, from your synopsis of one dollar of capital to your scenario of a depression that starts in Europe.

But the Obama clips were sickening. He wasn't just brown-nosing Dimon and JPM. He was providing a deluxe rim job, worthy of a 18th and M N.W. street ***** desperate for a crack fix.

Has any president ever kowtowed to a bankster like that IN ALL OF HISTORY??? In his desperation to survive in office, he has disgraced it, he has made it into a laughing stock. No need to look any further for who actually runs this country.

If you get you teeth fixed (like I did) you could be swamped by this gal. You did the weight thing which was infinitely harder (which I fortunately never had to do) so go the extre mile with invisiline or something. You're too sexy for your shirt now my friend. No offense intended, just constructive criticism. I waited a long time to do mine. Wish I had not.

Karl, great interview. Looks like you improved your lighting a lot, much better.

I think she just wore that low cut top so she could read all the comments about her on your blog, ha ha. I am fine with that though.

One of the pleasures of appearing on Capital Account is that the folks there are intelligent, ask actual probing questions (and follow up when it makes sense) and allow their guests to answer the question.

It's a joy appearing on their show.

Nice interview.

A part of me is starting to see another scenario. The Greeks may end up being the unwitting saviors of Europe and in the process make Europe healthier financially than the US. If the Greek people can wreck the euro project and force a reckoning with euro debt it may crash the banks over here (i live in the Netherlands at the moment) and cause a depression that leads to a reset. The people of Europe will force their politicians to institute a sound banking system with proper capital controls. In the mean time the US will continue down the path of unbridled deconstructionism and greed. The Europeans would love to do the same but they may be forced to hang their bankers because of people in the streets. Until we can get our own version of Greek fire we will keep seeing the tall ships of TBTF sail into the tax payers harbors looting and burning us all.

Good and professional interview as always, Karl.

You might think about getting some new shirts tailored, however.

A joy to watch too - for the reasons you state.

I haven't ever watched cnbc for any lengths of time, but used to leave bloomberg on all the time during trading hours. Lately I've taken to leaving the history channel or something like that on instead.

[Edit: I wish directv would pick them up. Hell, I'd pay for another channel package level just to get it.]

Great legs(and she knows it), nice cleavage(not cleavage actually, but very nice). Her guests, such as KD or James Grant, make for great interviews. Hard to concentrate on what she is saying. She wore a similar top during the Grant interview.

Not sure what Karl meant by that, what was said, or the visuals. The look on KD's face at times suggests he had a direct closeup camera feed on her um... top.
