It's not. I've heard personally what goes on with some of those contractors over there. As far as they're concerned, there are no rules......for anything. It's a ****ing free-for-all with little or no oversight. I'll not elaborate but there are a high percentage of contractors over there that could be classified as sub human.

Cynthia McKinny v Rumsfeld youtube clip discusses child sex trafficking by corporations that have contracts with the pentagon. She wants answers about why and Rumsfled is caught flat footed, but this all was very well known and discussed years ago. Despite it being widely known, no one will prosecute for many reasons, mostly the god ole boys take care of their own as they have in the mortgage fraud in the securities fraud in stock market insider trading and rigging fraud etc...

Like the contractors revealed in the previous Wiki document dump to have gotten drunk and drove around indiscriminately shooting people and then when stopped by the Iraqi police, simply handing out wads of cash and leaving?

What are you, some kind of arrogant western white ethnocentric racist that has no respect for the richness and variety of multicultural expressions among ancient societies? ps: Quote:"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; Beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours." - Gen. Charles Napier

I get the part of how sick these men are, but what I don't get is do they have a disproportionate amount of gay and bi men in Afghan or is this a religious anti-woman, no other choice but tag a boy thing? WTf?
This seems like the last option on a list of millions of items for a man in power to do, right up there before having your sack scalded and bleached.

John I also have a personal friend (lives right in my small town as a matter of fact) who is over there right now as a contractor, he is married with 2 children. He's a normal guy. I have a customer who has been going over there for 4 years now, on and off. He's a scumbag / drug dealing rapist. I have an acquaintance....not someone who I would hang out with by any means....who is a world class ****-up. He can not hold down a steady job here in the States... so he tags along over there at any opportunity, just for the pay. When ever I have the misfortune of running into him, he never fails to tell me how bad he ****s people up over there.....just for fun. Neither of these first two people above are the ones who have relayed the stories of atrocities committed by contractors to me. The guy that does relay these sad stories is a lifelong friend of mine and a Marine. I trust his word implicitly.

WTf? Sadly it is religious / cultural. A young guy can not have sex with a woman unless she is his wife. A man buggering another man (or boy) is not considered homosexual sex over there. The "pitcher" is taking the dominant role...and any bung-hole will do. Again, in their minds that is not homosexual sex. We already know what happens to women or girls who get raped / have sex before married. They're usually murdered by family members...or get a public stoning. Unfortunately for the young boys... they're easy targets. And yes, due to "imprinting" (having ones first sexual experience be with that of someone of the same sex) this does in fact steer many young boys into homosexuality. It's a terrible self perpetuating cycle.

Well well, stereotypes are, in general, stupid and almost always WRONG. I know probably 150 contractors personally, have supervised 1000s of them and have worked for a Blackwater company. Not all of the contractors are ****ed up. Only a very, very small percentage are ****ed up. When they are found out to be ****ed up, they are removed from the country and blackballed.
Contractors get a bad rap because of a few bad apples. None of you will ever hear the stories of guys who have risked their lives, limbs and even died to ensure that some State Department boot-licker gets to his destination safely. Or the guys that delivered the 1000s of pounds of water/food/ammo via air-drop on Army units engaged in a firefight because the Air Force wouldn't fly in bad weather or their pilots needed 'crew rest'. If you have a spouse, son or daughter over their fighting (and I do) they are getting value-added services from a contractor. You can hate on that FACT all you want, but it won't change how we are using contractors around the world.
I know the guys on Karzai's detail too, and they are the cream of the crop. Again, not everyone is like them, because bad apples get hired too. Sometimes you have to fill spots with guys that are less than qualified, simply because there is no one else available who wants to go live in a **** hole for $500/day for 6 months driving armored Suburbans through mine-fields.
Oh, and prostitution, for those of you who have not been outside of 'Merica, is EVERYWHERE in third world countries.
I maintain that the only reason the Wikileaks stuff is being suppressed by our Dear Leader and his ******* minions is because of the bank data. All the rest is noise meant to distract you.

Dashing...I always wondered why one or a few of these contractors would not write a book on their experiences over there. I'm sure it would make for some interesting reading.

Contracting for America has a long history too. Go to Lafayette Square in DC and look at the statues. Four of them are some of the original contractors to the USA. All of these men would be called CONTRACTORS today:
Baron Von Steuben He was born in 1730 and by age 17 was a Prussian officier. He was discharged from the army in 1763 and recieved the title of baron in 1764. In 1777 he came to the American colonies to help the Continental army in the American Revolution. A Prussian aristocrat and military officer who served as inspector general and Major general of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He is credited with teaching the Continental Army the essentials of military drill and discipline.[2] He wrote the Revolutionary War Drill Manual, the book that became the standard United States drill manual until the War of 1812, and served as General George Washington's chief of staff in the final years of the war.
Rochambeau Rochambeau was a French aristocrat born in 1725. In 1780, he came to America in charge 5,000 French troops in order to help George Washington in the American Revolution. He returned to France after the Revolution and almost faced his death by guillotine during the Reign of Terror in France. In 1780, Rochambeau was appointed commander of land forces as part of the project code named Expédition Particulière.[1] He was given the rank of Lieutenant General in command of some 7,000 French troops and sent to join the Continental Army, under George Washington in the American Revolutionary War. Count Axel von Fersen the Younger served as Rochambeau's aide-de-camp and interpreter. The small size of the force at his disposal made him initially reluctant to lead the expedition.[2]
General Lafayette Lafayette was a Frenchman who served as diplomat and General during the American Revolution. The square is named after him despite the Jackson statue being the main feature. In the American Revolution, Lafayette served in the Continental Army under George Washington. Wounded during the Battle of Brandywine, he still managed to organize a successful retreat. He served with distinction in the Battle of Rhode Island. In the middle of the war he returned to France to negotiate an increase in French support. On his return, he blocked troops led by Cornwallis at Yorktown while the armies of Washington and Jean-Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, comte de Rochambeau, prepared for battle against the British.
General Thaddeus Kosciuszko Kosciuszko was born in Poland and came to America in 1776 to offer his services in the American Revolution. On October 18, 1776 Kosciuszko was commissioned as Colonel of Engineers by the Continental Congress and began his outstanding service of fortifying battle sites, many of which became turning points in America's fight for independence against the British. Shortly after arriving in Philadelphia in 1776, Kosciuszko read the Declaration of Independence and was moved to tears because he discovered in this single, concise document everything in which he truly believed. When he discovered that Thomas Jefferson was responsible for drafting the Declaration, he felt compelled to meet him. A few months later, while moving south with the Continental Army, Kosciuszko stopped in Virginia to meet with Jefferson. After a very warm reception, the two men spent the day comparing philosophies and eventually became the best of friends.
