I'll drink a beer or three when I get home from work, but once dinner hits the table it's iced tea or water from there on out. If I have even one beer with or after dinner I sleep like shit that night.
Lately I've been getting about 6.5 hours, sometimes seven of sleep per night. That seems to be the sweet spot for me. Less or more than that and I don't function well the next morning. I don't set an alarm clock, my body wakes up when it's ready to, usually between 4-4:30AM. I'm in bed by 9:30 most evenings. I do try to get 6-8 miles of walking in a day, outside.
